Finale by Stephanie Garber: A review
I am now back to reading books from my local libraries, and it’s been too long! So, what better way to start than with a finale? Literally! Finale by Stephanie Garber is the last book in the Caraval trilogy and focuses once more on sisters Scarlett and Tella. It’s been two months since the end of the last game, and things have changed massively. Legend has claimed the throne and is due to be coronated soon, but more worryingly the Fates have been freed from the Deck of Destiny along with the sisters’ mother Paloma. Paloma is still sleeping from her time in the cards, so the other Fates share the same fate as well, but it won’t last forever. In the meantime, Legend visits Tella in her dreams, trying to get her to accept her prize for winning the game previously, something Tella no longer wishes. When their last dream suddenly ends, and is no longer followed by another dream, Tella worries something has happened to Legend aka Dante and goes to find him, discovering some dangerous truths
Paloma wants the earth beneath her feet
Paloma refuses to lay on the street
She is bound to give
at the ropes she woke in
Tied down she wants to crown
The oval of the sky
as indigo jewels midnight
Gliding by before light
Paloma will try to keep
at the steel wheel
Grinding stars in their machinery
eternal and fixed as your eyes are
From the soul bleeding
Dividing faces never held me
hands washed away with the rain
Why keep a key to a city
when all walk among each other
Half-asleep or still dreaming
Is the man in the skyscraper
the same as the eagle in its lair
She marvels at the condor
makes love to the tiger
She opens your door

Chapter 2: Sonic flat-out tells Amy he hates her, so she slaps him and runs off while he wishes for her to die or something.
Chapter 3: Amy angsts over Sonic's rejection and eats a whole tub of ice cream as she angsts over it.
Chapter 4: Amy appears to be missing, and Sonic's friend
