Raven, what omen do you bring?
She ran into the woods, where the trees were not as plentiful as they had once been, she wandered on and on for what seemed like miles, trying to forget the horrible things she had seen. the death… she felt close to weeping, but tried to ignore that compulsion. She did find, however, that the farther she went into the trees, the more there were, the land didn’t seem as dead, it was verdant and beautiful. “Strange.” she thought, that it should be so different here than in the village. Even the woods that surrounded the castle weren’t this beautiful. Perhaps it was because there was little sign of human colonizatio
The little box had been sitting on the table when it was time for tea. She hadn’t placed it there. so that meant Alistair had. She wondered if it was something important and he’d left it about, as he had a habit of doing. Chances are he had and then would blame her when he couldn’t find it.
she picked it up and noticed it had small carvings around the wood, she was tempted to open it, but could hear the Sorcerer entering the room and not wanting him to make a sarcastic remark, she sat it down.
