There's a sad and empty look
In the face you used to know.
A mirror tells the outward tale:
How did joy ebb so low?
All your dreams went not as planned,
Left no one to hold your hand--
But His love will never fail.
He can roll the stone from a broken heart,
Call upon our Father, say Let the dead come out.
You know it doesn't matter how long you've laid in there--
His eyes filled with mercy, He'll stir you back to life.
Oh there's hope for cloudy days
When you cannot find the sun,
For always He'll pick you up
When all your striving's done.
His Spirit knows you so deep
And'll hold you in your sleep--
He'll refill your empty cup.
He can roll
