It’s been years, but people still have so much to say about the love triangle between these three. Snape and James both had feelings for Lily. But Lily only cared for James romantically and loved Snape as a friend. This isn’t about who she should have been with, this is about the arguments people always do about the two boys. So many people think James was just a bully and they pity Snape. They think Lily should have married him instead. That James took Lily from Snape and he died with no happy ending. People say Snape could have been a better husband. But, could he? There’s plenty of theories about what could happen if Lily married Snape. Many hate James for being a ‘bully’ and that he didn’t deserve Lily. James was not just a bully. He was raised by parents who did spoil him so he was a bit conceited. He did bully Snape and hexed other students in the halls. But he grew out of it after a while and became a better person. That’s called character development. I don’t approve of him
