INTIMATE INTERLUDES
INTIMATE INTERLUDES By Heather Chrysalis Mead. May 28, 2022 The air sizzles with the pulse of an ethereal being, he sheathes the rosy dark of my bedroom with his presence, his face I know-it’s deeply etched upon my heart, through my mind I can hear him, his every golden tone reverberates through the arterial roadways of my softly slumbering body, his warm honey voice is richer than the golden rays that overflows the Sun’s golden cup, spilling it’s golden lavish upon me and meadows Summer-sweetened. Oh how his voice lavishes his riches upon me until Sound becomes Sight and he is all I can see: the charm of his smile, the heat of his eyes, his strength of character, the kissable lean… he need not speak words for he knows me well, instead he speaks with the windblown color of feelings and the allure of hidden thoughts, oh how his memory pledges itself onto every silver fiber of my being, and how I pledge myself to be the book of poetry where his memory can breathe, sweet and fragrant

Interlude: The Second Day's Order
"It's almost midnight, and you know what that means..."
"The order we tell is getting shuffled."
"Exactly--we'll finish one last rotation of today's order before switching to the new order at midnight."
"So what is the order for the second day?"
"You'll go first, Misty. I'll go after you, then Ash, then Serena."
"Sounds doable."
"I'll tell Ash about the new order while Serena's onstage."
"It'll be a little creepy telling to an empty library..."
"Ash still has plenty of enthusiasm, at least."
"I've been napping off and on while you girls were onstage..."
"Good idea--Ash may want a nap when he gets done."

Interlude: A Friend's Assistance
"Any luck on getting the assistance rules clarified?"
"Here's what I found--only one person has to be on stage at any one time--you can't have people help you tell the story itself."
"I know that, but what about assistance with music, props, and things like that?"
"You can have assistance with music and props, and the person playing the music can be seen if the instrument or singing is important to the story--they can't have lines or otherwise assist."
"What about puppetry? I did bring Erin..."
"Puppetry is okay provided the performer is either hidden or is completely in black."
"I typically do both if I'm performing Erin...
"What stor

Interlude: The Third Day's Order
"Great choice of a story, Ash...but it's time to pick the order for Day 3 of the Tell-a-thon."
"48 hours nearly in the books? Wow."
"They are allowing a few more stories so we each tell an even number, since we did tell some lengthy ones today."
"So, what's the new order?
"Serena goes first, I go next, then you go after me, and then Misty. So we keep our same place in the order, and the girls switch places."
"I have no qualms with finishing everything."
"For the moment, we still follow today's order, so Serena's on next.
"I know just the tale for the nightowls in the audience..."

Backstage, Ash listened from the wings as Brock told "Sorin and the Wonderful Tree" onstage. Now, why didn't I think of that--using an instrument in a tale? he thought when he saw Brock take his guitar to play.
Inspired, he hurried to the break room, located his bag, and started looking through it. Let's see...I packed the Pokeflute, a couple whistles, my chromatic harmonica in C...
He smiled when he found a familiar but well loved gig bag nestled among the other instruments and items. "Well! I remembered my ukulele too!"
After carefully tuning the tiny guitar-like instrument, he started running through the C major scale in various ways to

Interlude: A Fourth Day
"Nice job, Brock, as always."
"Thanks--any word on that extension stretch goal at all?"
"I checked the donation hub while you are on stage, and they met the stretch goal for a fourth day."
"So 288 stories instead of 216, huh?"
"Not that I mind--I never would've signed up if I knew there was gonna be a conflict."
"The absolute limit is a week, but the donations are already on track to reach a fifth day."
"Wow!"
"However many days we're up here, let's all keep doing our best!"
"You said it, Ash!"
"Thank Arceus we have plenty of Verde Power and nap breaks..."
"Go get'em, Ash! Give the audience a big thank you with your next tale!"
"I

It had been a long couple of days, but now, at last, it was time to relax. Even Athena saw the logic in this and panted wearily.
“Phew! That’s our cooking shift done. Who knew campfires could be so…so…HOT!”
“Athena, that’s putting it too obviously.”
Sheesh! What had got up Illusia’s butt? Oh yeah, lover boy…Well, she had a plan for that. She steered Illusia over towards the Explorer’s tents. Her head came bolt upright and she gasped.
“Athena, what do you think you’re doing?!”
“Going to see some pals of ours of course!” she told the Drowsee con

Interlude: Inside the Chateau
"The Chateau Platin is an icon of Shinou, and well over 3 million visitors from around the world visit each year." Brock read from the guidebook as the group retraced their steps back to the chateau's front gates. "In addition to being a major historic landmark, the house and its gardens have appeared in music videos, movies, and TV series around the world."
"What kinds of TV shows?" Ash was curious.
Brock located the page listing the Chateau's hundreds of media appearances. "It made an appearance on 'As the Poke Ball Turns' as the fictional Charmillion House; bunches of Galarian costume dramas; and many many series on Pokeflix, Shuru, and

"Okay...who wants to start the storytelling for the night?" Brock asked as the last chord of "Yellow Submarine" echoed across the mountaintops.
"The Snover would probably like the Moltres story..." Ash suggested.
"I plan to tell a version of the Moltres story--we just need to figure out if we should tell that first, or let one of you tell first." Brock replied as he checked his guitar's tuning.
"I'll start!" Dawn volunteered, prompting the Snover to glance at her intently.
After thinking for a moment, Dawn began "In a certain land lived a king and queen who had three sons, the youngest of which was named Shane."
[That's a nice name.] the

Interlude: Planting the Seeds of Trust
"Wow..." Ash gasped as the group arrived in the cabin some time later. "This is beautiful!" [This is the Council House of the Hidden Village.] the Bulbasaur explained. [It is where we gather for both important meetings, as well as celebrations. Guests also get to stay here, as well--there's plenty of room for you and your companions.] "The flowers and vines are beautiful..." Misty agreed as she admired the many roses, chrysanthemums, geraniums and other flowers interwoven between the cabin's logs. "Did you plant them from your bulb?" The Bulbasaur nodded. [Every last one was one of my seeds. Each one has a special meaning to us, but I would need all night to explain all their meanings.] Brock knelt down to the Bulbasaur's level. "I make my keep as a traveling storyteller--would you like me to share some of the stories I've found with everyone?" [Please do!] the Bulbasaur smiled. [It would make perfect entertainment for our dinner tonight!] --------- Once Melanie and some Pidgeys

The streets were beginning to quieten down now, but luckily a few of the shops were still handing out meat packs. As there were three of them, they would able to obtain three, which was just right for some last minute shopping. Illusia looked at the various happy customers and happy guild teams running the shops. Somehow, despite all the differences between the three guilds, there was a sense of harmony between them. After all, everyone could complete the same errands. There were some who looked down on other guilds, and the sight of them being from three different guilds sent some Pokémon into muttering. The Drowsee didn’t feel h
