A day that never leaves my thoughts to be
Will cause me tears depriving me of sight.
I am a blind man walking hopelessly
That only sets the stage for tragic plight.
A woman comes out of a field of light
She sings my name with elegance and grace.
As I can only quiver in great fright,
She holds out her hand, a smile on her face.
I hesitate to lace her hand in mine
As worry spreads across her fair visage
I shake my crazéd head only to find
That I was talking to a mere mirage
As loneliness plagues me with so much blight
I see the tricks and darkness in the light
