When Sasuke appeared at Naruto's side the next night, Naruto felt a chill scramble through his body. Something's not right with me, he thought to himself.
He wasn't ready to see Sasuke again so soon. His mind, exhausted by the emotional fallout of Sasuke's confession, made him recoil in fear at the sight of the man. His body was spent, too--he'd gotten nearly no sleep at all, which had been followed by a long day of work. Naruto's nerves protested the entire situation.

In the sultry spring air, Sasuke was a dream.
He arrived unannounced, and Naruto was caught by surprise when the man's presence slid up next to him, as if manifesting out of nowhere. Naruto jerked away reflexively, stumbling slightly, before he recognized the man at his side.
