“What was that?!”
Thaderian scrambled to all fours, shuddering himself awake. Beyond the trees, the high pitched wail of unknown creatures echoed. His jaws fell open in horror, and his eyes widened. The sound was heartbreaking, akin to the sound of a hatchling in peril. Something so innocent, in such danger… the idea alone made Thaderian gasp.
