HATERS GONNA HATE: A Furry Tail
IF YOU ARE ANTI-FURRY, I know this is a bit long, but I BEG you out of respect to please read this.
If you are a caring, loving, forgiving, respectful human being, you will read and understand this.
This rant is a followup to my "The TRUTH About Furries" rant → http://scottierouge.deviantart.com/#/d4903a6
I know there is a wide population out there who are 100% Furry haters.
In this world, everyone has the right to their own opinions.
But for a good and logical reasoning for any argument, there has to be research from both sides.
If you are one of the many out there who support Anti-Furdom, I ask, have you accounted for both sides?
IF YOU ARE ANTI-FURRY, I'D LIKE YOU TO READ ALL OF THIS, BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART THE SECTION AT THE END CALLED THE DEFE
The InuYasha series is a whirlwind of what ifs. What will happen to Kagome after thirty years in Sengoku Jidai? How does the time configuration of the Bone-Eaters Well work? And if Inuyashas ears feel like three layers of dumpling dough, what does that feel like? But one of the most heated debates has to flare at asking, What is Rin to Sesshomaru? Surrogate daughter or future romance? Both sides will vehemently defend their respective positions, yet the paternal relationship between demon and human is made clear in Sesshomarus actions and evident circumstances throughout the series. To write Sesshomaru and Rin off as another romantic pairing is a shallow dip not delving beyond the surface. To properly assess their characters several factors must be analyzed.
Rin is an innocent girl. Theres a reason Takahashi didnt have a strikingly beautiful woman find Sesshomaru injured
Is sometimes hard to observe,
Both, at times, require you to stand firm,
At times, both require you to kneel
One denotes a moral state of mind,
The other quite the reverse
So much has been done in the name of both,
That it's hard to decide which is worse
Many of us struggle with the perception,
We find ourselves debating everyday,
And yet when the fighting is over,
We find that nothing has really changed
This need to judge people for being right or wrong,
Compels us to lose ourselves in a fight,
A fight that consumes all our days,
And that can never truly be won
There is no justification,
For giving up all hope,
Always, always, there is a reason,
To hang on and to cope
Good and evil are shadowy things,
That will never truly be defined,
Because they are both so different,
To every single persons eyes
I do not profess to be good or evil,
Nor do I profess to be right or wrong,
I simply keep my mind open,
As the years of my life go on
Living life as be
I personally feel that Harry Potter is SO much better than Twilight. I started reading Harry Potter when I was in the 4th grade and I really wanted to read something. I wasnt much of a reader at all. In my search for something to read, my Language Arts teacher recommended to read Harry Potter, I went home and picked up my sisters copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. I was hooked as soon as I read Mr. and Mrs. Dursley of number 4 Privet Drive were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much. I read all the books until the 5th one, which was the latest book out at the time, seeing as Half Blood Prince would be coming out that summer, I reserved my copy of HBP at the local Barnes and Noble received my copy at midnight. Since I started reading Harry Potter, I have been an avid reader.
Twilight was simply something to read post-Harry Potter.
1. CAP THAT If there's one sure-fire way to make a point stronger, it's typing in ALL CAPS. Considering that there are many instances when sound can't travel over the net, one must find the next best available way to be heard. This "next best" way is through "shouting," which just happens to be done online through typing in CAPS. Just like screaming, shouting, and general tantrum-throwing in real life, this method is a highly efficient method of making sure that your point gets across and makes you seem ten thousand times more valid and understandable. Additionally, it makes your argument come on more forcefully and shows the opposition you mean "serious fucking shit" with your side of things.
After all, loud noises work with dogs and small
I've seen several of these "anti-stories" posted up and decided to share my story too. It's far more mild than most. I was never attacked by twilight fans. Or had things chucked at me, or was chased, or mobbed. Granted I graduated high school a long time before Twilight was written. Thank god for that.
When I was in middle school, Pokemon was the it thing. In high school, it was Lord of the Rings. Oh, how the times have changed.
Anyway, I didn't start out disliking Twilight. I had friends who read it. I even had a professor or two who spoke highly of it. Which looking back on it now makes me feel quea
However, those for gay marriage have more fact and backing on their side than those against it. We will examine these facts in this essay.
The two most common arguments used by those against gay marriage often pertain to religion or the assumption that gays are unnatural (or other insults).
For now, lets look at the first argument. Keep in mind that not everyone believes in God. There are approximately 2.1 billion Christians on Earth, about 1 billion Catholics, and 12.5 million Mormons. It is a little difficult for 200 million Atheists to make their point against over half of the worlds population.
Honestly, I dont care what your Bible says. Or what your God says or what your priest told you or how your parents raised you. Who are you
2. Sarah Palin - Did Reagan and Posh Spice have a kid I don't know about?
3. John McCain - By the 3rd debate, he was like that uncle that's trying a new drug and hasn't got the dosage right.
4. Arnold Schwarzenegger - He's a moderate Republican, which is like a Volvo with a gun rack, you don't see a lot of them!
5. Jack Nicholson - He'd be a great president, no drug scandals, he's the only guy to whom Keith Richards would go "I have to go home now, Jack."
6. George Bush - He could do stand-up comedy, he's got 8 years of amazing material!
7. 2008 Debates - After 8 years of Bush people were debating in full sentences and I went 'Thank you god!"
8. 2008 Election - America is finally out of Rehab!
9. George Bush - He's a gift to comedy, a comedy pinata, im gonna miss him!
10. George Bush - What's he gonna do now that's he's left office? Now, he CANNOT go on a speaking tour, that's a given!
Jim sees science as the study of what God made. And he defines science in this way: Science is an endeavor to explore and understand. Scientism is a philosophy that starts by saying that nothing supernatural exists. Jim points out that this viewpoint is unable to answer the question of where the matter and energy came from that supposedly started the Big Bang, according to the theory.
With a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering, among Jim’s many accomplishments is working with Boeing on space shuttles. Up until college he was too shy to do any sort of Christian leadership. But he overcame this during college by inadvertently leading a Christian student group each week. Now, along with his rocket science career he also talks to people about the relationship between science and religion.
According to Jim, this viewpoint that we were not Created is one of despair. It’s saying that you are an
In return, all I ask is that you act towards me in the same way. Let's just let loose, be willing to laugh, keep open minds and take time to try and understand each other.
Alright...I'm just going to skip the first few initial paragraphs of the rant and skip to where the real stuff starts.
-That's right. I'm writing a rambling about abortion. This rambling will discuss the arguments and facts surrounding the evils of abortion and how it all links to pornography and contraception. However, I'm not going to say ANYTHING religious in this rambling. Nope! I want to ensure you that I will say nothing religiously biased by speaking through the lips of science, meditation and personal opinion. References to evidence, like statistics, I provide will be marked with a number in parentheses and a link provided to the source in the author's comments.-
Abortion has become a topic of much debate ever since it's start from the Roe v. Wade case in 1973. Defenders of the unborn (Pro-Lifers) and defenders of a woman's right to choose (Po-Choicers) have clashed for years, each making legislative counter attacks against the other. Arguments
More specifically, Logic and Christianity.
No, they are not incompatible.
I just finished (or at least I believe I finished)
I think the best way to describe the proper place of logic is to define it.
Logic is a process of thought. It is using reason to come to a conclusion in a non-random fashion. Logic is reasonable (able to reason).
Now, God, with all his power and might can't do some things.
Before you shout "Blasphemy" and try and burn me at the stake, wait a moment and let me name them.
God cannot lie. (Hebrews 6:18 NLT; "So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie...")
God cannot sin (1 John 1:5 NLT; "God is
I get it. Same thing happened to me and Doctor Who (my 13-year-old sister basically stuffed it in my face 24/7 until I couldn't imagine ever wanting to watch it. It happens!). This person launched into a bunch of reasons, which are quite common Anti-Jelsa ship reasons, and being the personality type I am, I couldn't help but disagree and write my disagreements- hey, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but that doesn't mean I can't reasonably argue them!
I just thought that some of you may like to hear my responses to common Anti-Jelsa arguments.
The first point she made, in which the artist was most annoyed at, was that Jack keeps appearing in all the groups they join
Chelsea: so whats this with your status. I thought you were okay with gays.
Tess: I changed my mind.
Chelsea: Why though.
Tess: Well I realised gays can't have babies the normal way, so that's unnatural.
Chelsea: What, There are animals in nature who are gay?
Tess: Well then they are mutants of the species and are right and shouldn't procreate.
Chelsea: And what about the couples who are infertile and have to use invetro? Or those that adopt? Those too old to have children? Those who don't want to have children?
Tess: Lot of big talk for a lesbian, you don't understand hetero relationships.
Chelsea: You're avoiding my questions. But I do. Love is love. Every relationship is different. so you can't 'understand' one and base it on another. Can you answer my question?
Tess: you still don't understand, hetero relationships can actually bare children if medically helped. Homos can't. It's logical. And anyway more kids are beaten, what about pedos?
Chelsea: God, answe
