The door opened with a large creaking sound, hitting the wall with a bump. Feliciano stepped outside, the wind engulfing inside the entrance and messing up his short hair, as he was dragging something behind him. Or rather... as he was dragging someone behind him.
The dark hair were floating freely around the dead pale face, the dark eyes staring in the blank, blood splattered all over the white clothing. Feliciano paused to take a breath and raised his head to look at the dead garden around him. He smiled.
_"We're out, Kiku. Isn't the sun quite beautiful this morning?."
He kneeled and leaned a hand on Kiku's blood-soiled face. On the ground where he had dragged him were remaining trails of blood like brushed paintings. Feliciano smiled again.
_"I wonder what time it is. Or rather... what time it should be. Don't you wonder too, Kiku?"

awaken from this
you’ve become a servant to the ocean,
obeying its every command –
succumbing to its demanding beauty,
hypnotised by the tranquillity.
(rising and falling.)
(falling and rising.)
you fragile, broken thing,
a beautiful golden fool –
your frame filling with
bones stiffening, skin wrinkling
blood turning blue.
you’re visiting the ocean’s depths,
welcoming the cruel world below;
but those lungs of yours are burning,
and those soft eyes are questioning –
you ocean captive,
open your eyes
swim to the top –
and breathe the air,

and its an absolute truth that
the wideness of my smile
is dependent on the variable of yours
i would send you every

each red petal per flower -
perfection to remind
you of all the beauty in the world
like Frodo, im on a quest
and even though i pwn at IQ tests

i epic fail at the game of love
has pierced my cardiac organ
and logically, i should be dead
but i have infinite lives here,
and i want to be with you instead
we would be an e1337 pair
and i less than three you
more than winning streaks of solitaire
i know the coca content of chocolate
and the ABV of champagne
but i still cant calculate
why you drive me insane
math will sneak into our conversations
like the food quality of WWII soldiers rations
as well as the Babylonian Captivity
and Einsteins theory of relativity

This is a protective mechanism for the mers as a species; the washed out colors prevent or deter the chance in attracting a mate and possibly passing the illness along to future offspring. Unfortunately this doesn’t always work. Some illnesses are inherited even if both of the parents are healthy mers, through recessive traits or from past history of illness from other family members such as aunts and uncles. This is the case for Danny given that both of his parents are strong and healthy, and yet he was born ill.
Danny’s illness is based o
