Over the centuries, there have been purported sightings of various monsters that lurk in the ocean or in freshwater bodies such as rivers & lakes. While some of these have been busted as misidentification of known animals, like oarfish, or reclassified as Kaiju with the case of Varan. But with the revelation of several marine reptiles from the Mesozoic being described in the last few decades, Kaijuologists teamed up with Park rangers, Oceanographers, & Herpetologists to answer the mystery behind 40 or so known Aquatic Cryptids. Many of these are actually just one genus that has a cosmopolitan distribution which will be discussed later while others are ecomorphs of other marine reptiles.
