Riding the dragon.
Loki ran ahead of his brothers, laughing. The three of them were following Odin’s wolves, who thought running was the best game. Loki paused to catch his breath, the sharp pain he always got in his chest when running was troubling him, but he focused of showing no hint of pain. If he could pretend it wasn’t real, even to himself, he could pretend he was a new person, none of it really happened, just a nightmare. He clung to that sense of denial, it kept the painful memories at bay.
