Raptor can be trained as young bird but also as adults, it is a matter of patience.
Step 1 - Manning
During this period the raptor will get used to man and related objects (pets, cars...)
The goals are for the raptor to eat from your glove, or accepting to do walk while on the glove fearlessly.
During that time the raptor will be fed at will to find out his full weight, flying weight (weight at which the bird is motivated to feed thus do exercise and respond to the austringer), and hunting weight (bring the bird down to that weight for hunting). You usually bring your raptor down to flying weight for training.
Your bird need to be weighted daily.
This step can take between a week to several months. When the bird is confortable it is said to be well-manned.
Step 2 - Jumps up/ Glove calls
