the view from the building where i work at for Potiron (www.potiron.com.br) in the city of Campinas, Brazil.

having a "forest" inside the city was very disconcerting, in a positive sense. for lunch break, i'd go with my boss to eat at an Italian restaurant called Michelli's, and we'd walk through this park with tall palm trees. they must have been about 40-50 meters high. (130-150 feet for you Americans).

for this photo, i leaned out as much as possible to get more of the trees into the shot, and later when viewing the photo on my computer, i decided to leave only the trees in color (green) and the rest of the city in black and white, not only to draw attention to the arboreal center, but to contrast the trees with the endless cityscape.
