This piece has distracted me for too long !!!

I was working on a new nebula effect for a BSG shot I had in mind when "Does it still McFly" (Star Trek OST) started in the background (winamp on random you see..) the shot as you see it now appeared to me in the blink of an eye, and then it was lost. It has been weeks of tinkering with it since and I think I'm mostly happy with the result.

As usual no compositing , this is pretty much the render as is (only minor colour correction/exposure tweaked) . The nebula I'm quite happy with, I've been experimenting with Vue to achieve a decent nebula for a while now. This one is made of spheres/terrain objects and volumetric materials.
I also re-visited pretty much all of the textures and lighting on the Enterprise for (hopefully) a more realistic look.


Many thanks for looking and by the way the full download is quite big but totally worth the download for extra juicy detail !
