A view from the village of Ia on the island of Santorini in the Greek Cyclades taken in October, 2004. Behind the buildings, one views straight down into the caldera of Santorini, or Thira submerged by the Aegean sea.

Standing where I stood to take this photo, I had one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen in my entire life. I spent hours just standing here and enjoying the magnificent view in front of me, to the left and to the right. Not much artistic thinking went into this piece. It's just beautiful because the location is beautiful.
