Description

Here's another rendition of the Apo Jellyfish family, only this time there are more of them and there's fractal algae. Made with Apo 2.08 and postwork done in GIMP. I hope you enjoy these little invertebrates. I don't know if they sting, but I wouldn't get too close to find out.

Full view for detail and download is 1280x960.

Update 05-23-09: This received a DD!!! I am so excited!!

This is absolutely amazing, and so beautiful! I've never seen anyone do this with Apo before--and it's such a wonderful, detailed, lifelike image! I love the colors and the details, and the composition is very nicely done. The light coming in at the top is wonderful, and I love the way it spreads out across the image, too. (you do have to look at the larger view to see that lovely detail!) The transparency in the jellyfish is also amazing, and quite appropriate, and so help me, I keep thinking I see another fish shape within the jellyfish to the right--the one with the blue top, and pink-orange underside! The flame algae is lovely, and well done also. I can tell that this took both a lot of thought, and work, and having used Apo before, myself, I can certainly appreciate the difficulty you might have encountered in doing such an image! Bravo, and this is going to my faves!
