I felt a bit like painting digitally for a change, it's been so long. I've been threatening to complete this piece since October last year.... and now it's done.

I'm overall pleased with the character in the foreground but I failed epically at attempting to paint a 20's looking background, so I did a photo paint-over :(

The idea here is to entice the viewer to make his/her own story behind what's seen here, so enter the city of Jo'burg and explore.

Believe it or not the background IS actually a street somewhere in Johannesburg S.A, I found the photo somewhere on the net which I believe comes from an archive.
