Aya Ebony lives with her mother in the 19th century. She loves and believes the tales that her mother writes; the names of the characters were given by her too.
Aya lives happily in this world of hers, with the fairies, elves, and mermaids, who she loves so much.
One day, when she arrived home, she found her mother unconscious- a few days later she dies.
Aya is in shock; she stands on one of the rocks above the lake. She will be given to some orphanage, and she wants to get her mother back. Aya decides to end her life. She falls into the lake.
When she comes to, she notices that her mother's elves from those tales are around her. They could only save her life if they bring her to this world as a mermaid...
Aya learns from them that life cannot be simply thrown out, even it is hard.
She makes friends, but there are some group that do not accept that she was there- they're afraid that their world will be fulled by saved souls and no true beings anymore...
