Artist's Statement
Digital painting of Epidexipteryx hui, the smallest known adult dinosaur specimen, and one of the first feathered birds. From the Mid or Late Jurassic of China, Epidexipteryx was 25cm long not including the ETFs (elongated tail feathers) that give it its name, which means "display feather."
If you look closely you can find a hatching Epidendrosaurus, another member of the family scansoriopterygidae. Re-use: See Creative Commons license, attached. Attribution required: Credit Matt Martyniuk and link to [link] |
