This Halloween, I threw together this costume last minute to go trick or treating. I was a bride who'd been beaten to death by her husband-to-be. I forgot the 'engagement' ring I was gonna wear for it and decided to go with a story line that the groom took it to propose to another girl.

I also did this to make people realize the very real problem of domestic abuse. I am very fortunate it has never happened to me, but I know many people it has happened to. It's a real problem, many women, children and men are beaten but never speak up because they are afraid. They need your help, if you are or know someone who is being abused, get help. Please, save a life and don't end up as the Beaten Bride here.
