Artist's Statement

Hey there!

For day # 17 of Villain Month, I give you the second original creation of mine to appear so far, Rachel the Ninja.

Rachel was named after my friend :iconburningstariv:, who happens to love the color green and I thought the name fit the character really well. Just a bit of trivia, I suppose. ;D

This is a character I actually haven't drawn in probably about a year and a half, I think. Obviously, she's a cliched, anime-inspired busty ninja woman and is meant to be something of a fun little joke, almost, but regardless, she's always been considered a villain in my mind (though one that, admittedly, has trouble fitting in with any of the stories in my head, something I'd like to remedy). There isn't a whole lot to say about her as a character that you can't already see in the image, really. She's very basic, not particularly deep.

And that's the real beauty of the character: she's a ton of fun to draw because she's so silly and ridiculous and isn't terribly detailed in any way, really. I find that she's actually one of the simplest characters of mine to draw because I never over-think it, next to Ink the bear, that is, since he's not human and I find non-humans easier to draw.

Anyway, I'm rambling now. I hope you guys like her! If you want to see more of her (in a rather dated form), you can look back on my gallery. She's there at least 3 times, I think.

Adobe Photoshop CS, about 20 minutes total (if that).

Rachel is (c) me, Andrew Green. Please do not steal her or this image, or I will make you afraid of your own toothbrush in ways you cannot possibly imagine.
