Description
Quilotoa is a water - filled volcano crater that collapsed about 800 years ago, located in the Andes mountain range of Ecuador. It is famous for its scenic views and the 10 km hike named Quilotoa loop. The highest point around the crater is 3915m and i can assure you that with the heavy winds, the steepness and sandy underground, it isn't the easiest walk (but it's more than worth it!). It is possible to go down to the lake itself and enjoy another point of view. Five photographs were used for this photograph.
