"Impulse Abstraction"
----

Finally, Right?:
Finally after six months, Abstraction can finally be called "done". Abstraction was one of the first sets of experimentation involving the star of this piece, Captain Impulse. I wanted to do something vastly different from the rest of my work. I feel I've done so, and at the same time, it still retains my style. I feel unbelievably proud of this piece, and hope that it might actually make some currency.

I had the idea to make it somewhat yin-yang to a point, and it certainly doesn't get more yang-yin than with a imp-like bloke pooling out of an abstract version of himself.

This piece taught me something very important, that if you're making a high-resolution picture, don't use the scan as the lineart. I literally had to redraw all the lines after I colored the layers in. It also taught me that converting and retaining the colour is dumb to a point. The background is as nice as it's going to look, and I still like it. Isn't it ironic that something that was drawn on an impulse, took half a year to finish? I'm sure it is, but the people who like irony aren't the same people who like my art.

Regardless, a lot of work was put into this, so I hope you enjoy it.

Special Thanks:
I want to thank a couple of my friends who helped in some facet that doesn't actually involve work on their part:

-Nick Goldstein (:devx52:), for his minimal insights and his ideas on this and other "Impulses".

-Chrissy [insert last name here], also known as :devmastercrusaderx:, for telling me to work on arts. Alot. Which helped, because he knows I am a lazy bastard at times.

-Elizabeth Hamilton (:devopaquejade:), for various pieces of advice and inspiration. Heart~

-Epic Games, Ubisoft, Nintendo, Suda 51, Namco, Hothead Games, and Bioware. Why am I thanking them? I shouldn't, they distracted me with their unbelievably kickass games. Damn them and their ability to make awesomeness!
