This light bulb has been in my backpack for 2 1/2 years now since I shot my first Natural Lighting in March 2005.

Every winter (as some of you know) I hike the ice on Lake Superior at sunrise every chance I get. The light bulb has come to be my 'trademark' shot and symbolizes for me the birth of new ideas. Whenever I feel as if I'm running out of creative inspiration, I pull the bulb out of my pack and attempt one of these shots when the timing is right. Of the twenty or so I've taken over the years, only a few have turned out...
