 Artist's StatementHave you ever walked through the forest and heard the beating of wings, but find no bird in sight? You think you see just the hint of movement in the green above, but you believe it was just a trick of the light?
Do not be fooled! She dances in the trees, the wings of a hundred birds dancing around her, but you will hear no song nor see a single flashing eye of thrush or wren. Her soul is a vicious one, for she has no mercy for other bloods. That mask...no one knows what lies behind it, whether it is the grotesque countenance of death or the greatest beauty you could ever reach for. Perhaps it is to look into the grasp of immortality? Or maybe your soul would be sucked out and lost in an abyss neither man nor spirit has dared to gaze toward. When you next hear wings but see none, be sure to hurry from the forest...for such an encounter is not worth your life. |
