Artist's Statement
A print version of my earlier submission.
The second "mood" piece for my scene design class I did a little while ago. Basically I wanted to continue the split design idea I had done with my first mood piece, Daughter of Darkness, and explore other possibilities which might be available to me. Here I contrasted the two major opposing sides in my books as well as my storyboards. As soon as I knew I would do the hero and villain I considered using opposing tones for each half of the piece. It took some experimenting before the right colors came through. For Gilon I chose a blue green while for Vragar I went with an orange overlay as the original red one was too strong. I was really pleased with the way the stained glass window and moon came together to create one more unifying factor in the design. After the initial work was done I decided to add a special effect to each side to make the piece more interesting. |

Glossy Finish Photo Prints
Printed on Kodak Edge paper, Glossy Photo Prints have an extremely smooth, reflective surface. Glossy finishes have a high-contrast appearance and are slick to the touch. Photos will have a shiny finish, with sharp and vibrant colors.
Matte Finish Photo Prints
Printed on Kodak Edge paper, Matte Photo Prints have a smooth surface. Matte finishes have a lower-contrast and are often used to enhance the innate textures of Photo Prints.
Lustre Finish Photo Prints
Printed on Kodak Super Endura, Lustre-finished Prints are a premier paper offering. Lustre has a slight gloss with a subtle, matte texture. Lustre paper has deeper color-saturation and higher contrast than matte and can sometimes result in a darker image.

For a contemporary feel, our Premium Paper Giclée Prints deliver vivid color reproduction and exceptional detail on high-quality Matte heavyweight paper stock.
