To the Siren, Sanguine + Sepia

Yet another one of my idle sketches which demanded (in no uncertain terms) that I complete it. I was skimming through my copy of Meri Lao's Sirens: Symbols of Seduction, admiring a number of medieval paintings, sculptures, and woodcuts of this creature in her more watery guise and was inspired to depict her myself. Also derived from the medieval imagery is the modified trefoil and pointed arch window in the background.
