Completed on: 9/14/2004 Medium: Pencil and pen sketches on regular paper, coloring completed in Photoshop Info: This is the complete movie storyboard (without any of the audio captions) I did for my storyboarding class. I basically took the idea of the opening scene from my first book and transformed it so that it could fit into the sixteen panel format. I did change quite a few things, but the overall feel and mood remain the same. As the story begins there is a nameless warrior who enters a dilapidated cathedral alone amidst a surging rainstorm. His mind is set on only one thing, and he will carry out his task or die trying. Inside a familiar voice beckons to him. It is the voice of a dark and bloody past. It is a voice which the warrior has come to silence. As the two exchange words inside the grimy altar it becomes evident that a predestined duel will decide their fate this day. Visions of the past the stranger has conjured begin to fade away within the warrior's mind. He sees the cloaked man as an obstacle he must overcome for at the top of the cathedral his true opponent awaits him. As the showdown begins the title fades in swallowing up the fierce sounds of battle. I actually want to animate this movie in my spare time because I think it would serve as a trailer of sorts for my books. As it is now I don't have plans to make anything longer than a few minutes or so, but I sure would love to try a longer version if I ever had that much time on my hands.
