My take on the story of the temptation of St.Anthony, which goes something like, this first he was tested by the devil with physical lust which he overcame, apparantley by demasculating himself, he was then visited by demons who beat him. After this he went into isolation in an abandoned roman fort, when he emerged people were surprised to find him sane and enlightened.
A good motif to go to town on the demonoids and interperate them my way as well as adding intricate detailing, unfortunately the scan is not as tonally accurate as the original. I have added lots of hidden details and symbols of medieaval thought in the drawing.

This is truly incredible. You are wonderful with details. It's very focused on it's theme, but so chaotic, there is so much going on in this one picture that the viewer really has to take some time to look over it, let it all soak in. And it's not a tedious task because your skillful drawing ability has created something interesting to look at, if anything the viewer does not want to look away. I'm honestly amazed.
