This piece deals with losing my faith in the dogmatic, fundamental, sometimes radical views of the religion I was brought up in and finding that inner-strength inside me - guiding me - IS ME, my own conscience. The experience has been like scales falling from my eyes, quite literally, from the moment I dared to question it's authority.
