Sentinel Prime (The First Knight)

The icon of the ICON which is Optimus Prime. I noticed that there isn't a definitive version or take on this character, since he wasn't part of the G1 toyline so i took it upon myself to create what i think he should look like. I never liked Michael Bay's approach with the character and felt that he shouldn't be portrayed like that. He's a PRIME, for pete's sake!

It was really hard to design this character, since he had to look old and ancient yet have a strong connection to Optimus visually. When you put him beside Optimus he's taller than him and definitely more adept and well versed in hand to hand combat. He also had to stand out in his own way and i hope i managed to do just that.

And here's a fact: If you look closely at Sentinel Prime, you'll notice that his head resembles the Autobot symbol/logo. He is the Autobot symbol. I wanted to make him a viable character in the Transformers universe and not just a decorative one. He is one of the first in a series of PRIMES. There's a reason behind that and all will be explained in my next entry in my DA journal.

Vehicle mode is the Iveco TRAKKER 8x4 Dump Truck.
