One of the latest additions to my collection, a buff fife canary. Not sure if it's a hen or not. I was assured that this pair (parter - heavily variegated) were a breeding pair, but the lady who sold them to me also thought that the cockatiel singing his head off in the back was a hen..so <shrug> Time will tell.

Whatever the gender, this 'un's a little beauty. Very cheeky. First canaries I've had in a long time, I'd forgotten how messy they are!

Note: Buff canaries are yellow but the edge of their feathers are 'frosted' with white.
