Artist's Statement

And finally I did this piece...I wanted to draw it especially for people in Japan, after all disasters which happened to them. I drew Japanese flag in the background and my character in the water...

This drawing is so small...it was really hard to draw all the details (from her chin to the hood is like 1cm). I used a ton of things to draw it. I started to draw it one month ago, but yesterday I started to draw it again, and today I finished it. I guess I should draw more with colored pencils...and traditional art. :D

Her name is <b>Lilly</b> and her parents gave her that name because she loved water lilies and water (her nickname is Water Lilly). One day she looses her parents because of tsunami and that really breaks her heart. After few years she decided to live in a lake which is known because of water lilies...after that, everyone thought that she is a water spirit and that she is there to protect them from the disasters.

:bulletred: Moleskine sketchbook A5
:bulletred: mechanical pencil (0.5 mm)
:bulletred: eraser, ruler
:bulletred: black pen, red pen, blue pen (0.5 mm)
:bulletred: red gel pen (0.5 mm)
:bulletred: white marker (0.8mm) and red marker (1mm)
:bulletred: colored pencils (Faber-Castell)
:bulletred: compass (for the circle)
:bulletred: time...hmm, I would say around 4-5 days (from the sketch to the finished drawing)

I hope you like it and comments are welcome
