My DA friend Devin [link] posted a journal inviting the community to post something about what Spring means to themselves. The theme being New Life. So here is a series of photos showing green coming back to New Orleans City Park.

For so long after Katrina all foliage was dead. The city was covered with a greyish layer of dirt; mud several inches thick in some areas. But life is coming back; both in plant life, animal life, people returning and the city life. I think these photos of our beautiful ancient oaks represent our beautiful old city of New Orleans and the new life sprouting all over it.
