Uninvited Guest

Artistic interpretation of the incident on Šiprúň I've recalled before: On the northern side of a mountain called Šiprúň (1461 m) in the Greater Fatra mountains (Slovakia), there is one of the few allowed campsites in the national park; I camped there with my girlfriend for one night and there we also experienced some adventurous moments: A bear came at night and ate some of our food we left outside the tent. We didn't look out (the drawing is a little bit inaccurate, but I made it that way to be more interesting ), but we heard it clearly, rustling and growling around. Luckily it didn't pay us a visit in the tent. (Slovakian mountains are a bear country but most people don't take it as seriously as it is common in Canada or USA. However, there has been great increase in bear numbers in recent years.)

I drew the picture originally for a Czech illustrators' website Projekt ilustrace, for a monthly themed contest "surprise".
