So this might be a little cliche' lemme alone >.<
I had an idea for this about a week ago. My original concept was going to be a lot darker with more fog obscuring the mermaid, but oh wells. I was really going for a really traditional realistic approach, so I stuck with the classic mermaid structure (MINUS KNEES). I also used my own face as a model, but I don't know if there's really that much of a resemblance, but I tried. I like to think of it as "representing me" if anything. so yeah... there's not much else to say abouts this one other than I haven't really drawn a sad mermaid in a while, so hey whatevs. This might be considered a speed painting to other people just cuz I only spent about 4 hours tops on it, but that's just how quickly I work in digital media, so I don't consider it a "speed paint" I took a sketch and came up with this.
