Painting I did of myself based off a small picture I found of myself when times were hard.
The purple and pinks represent plastic aesthetic concerns we press onto ourselves. We are never as pretty or as beautiful or as interesting as we want to be. We have an unrealistic ideal that is meant to drive us forward, not push us down. But more often than being an inspiration to find a stepping stone, it is usually a stumbling block into a spiral of self consciousness.
