Artist's Statement

Only a year after the collapse of AGR, Samantha finally gets herself a copy of "Flames of Instinct". Before reading, she had taken a swim in her exercise pool for an hour, and then after drying off, she lights a fire in her fire place, and picks up where she left off on Flames of Instinct. As she reads through it, she also enjoys a glass of wine to unwind from the day. While reading, she takes satisfaction as every AGR PMC is given the ringer by James or Sienna as her mate was killed in the first escape attempt, and although she didn't love him, she still felt the loss. But as she gets used to the action, she comes to the wedding of James and Sienna, and then their consummation...

"Ooh... what naughty dragons" she says to herself as she reads the sex scene. She completes the chapters, and then has another glass of wine as she watches the fire die down, before going to bed.

Some background: Samantha attempted to join the Air Force, but failed out early in Basic Training. She was only 19 at the time, and was completely devastated by this. But before she could get home, an AGR spotter marked her, and she was thrown into the Lion program at the Colorado Facility. She was paired with another Lion that himself had no intrest in children, or her, but appreciated her company. She didn't really like him much ether, but liked having someone like her in the same cell to talk too. He was killed when the AGR Snipers on the tower opened fire on the escapees, with a bullet wound to the aorta. She remembers her short time with him well, and does attribute him to her survival, but she knew he wasn't the right man for her.

Edit: The hand holding the wine glass was just screaming 'fix me', so I did, now it looks a bit more natural, and believable
