"Self Portrait 2012 InWarhol"

*Every year I create a new work of art for that year in a self portrait style, and I don't really know why I do that, but probably because my mentors or professors or my artist influences also did it too...maybe not the same way I do it, but Vincent Van Gogh did alot of them. It makes me feel like I'm in good company with some of the greatest to have ever lived. This one came about by accident...cleaning out a box and found this picture of me playing drums with one of the best bands I was ever in, and at the time I found it, Andy Warhol was on my t.v. talking about his famed Marylyn Monroe four square same picture done 4 different colors, and so this is how the work was conceived...the photo was like I believe our third kegger party and that one was in Tujunga, Ca. and was a great one! And now, I get reminded of a fun treasured memory AND get to create a new one from the old one...all at the same day! That's a first for me! I hope you can enjoy it even half of what I feel about it!
