If I had to pick a character that I thought was just a flat-out badass, Protoman would always be in the top 3. When I was a kid I would thrown on a scarf, anything resembling a shield, and a paper towel tube on my arm for a blaster. Protoman is just a certified badass.

I wanted to work on things like smooth surface sculpting (the head and shield), hair and wavy surface sculpting (like the scarf), and head shape. I'm not 100% satisfied with the result, but I am pretty proud of how it turned out. I've only been sculpting for 6 months now but I think it's progressing well.

<b>Protoman Backstory</b>
In the Mega Man series you play as Rock, a human/robot hero. We never really get much background on where any of the characters in this game come from, so I always assumed Rock was orphaned during a war and adopted into the home of Dr. Light. Light repaired Rock's injuries and infused his body with robotic capabilities. Mega Man goes across the world, fighting against evil robots to bring peace to earth.

In the third game, Mega Man encounters a recurring and supposed enemy: Proto Man. Some speculate that Proto was created as an evil villain and eventually sided with Mega to work for peace. I never thought that was the case. Although Proto and Mega spar in the games, at the end of every fight there's a moment of silence that I took to mean they were having a conversation. Proto Man later goes on to save Mega's life several times throughout the series.

In my mind, Proto was always looking out for his little brother Mega.
