Beati Misericordes is the sister piece to Suscipe. It was inspired by the Beatitude, Blessed are the Merciful (Beati misericordes quia ipsi misericordiam consequentur) - specifically as put to music by Howard Goodall and the Enchanted Voices.

For the last couple of years, one of my major inspirations has been the Mercy Charism of Catherine McAuley, Foundress of the Sisters of Mercy Order of Women Religious. It almost goes without saying that accordingly, although I find all the Beatitudes inspiring, I find Blessed are the Merciful, for they shall obtain Mercy, particularly so.
