During his first few weeks of being incarcerated and going from a top ranking general to one of the nations most controversial criminals, Kurai had a difficult time adjusting to his new 'environment.' Ranson was often there to comfort him, despite what rumors were being passed through the House by guards, keepers, and Mary-who also runs the House aside Ranson. These rumors were exaggerated horror stories about 'exactly' why Kurai was in the House to begin with.

Kurai refused any food given to him other than by Ranson in fear of being poisoned. It was tried before and would be tried again throughout his imprisonment before thieving the Eclipse.

The House isn't a cold stone walled fortress that keeps its prisoners in cells, instead it's much like a limited roam mansion. One of the rooms Kurai often found a liking to was on the top floor that overlooked the surrounding forest.


It's more of a colored/detailed sketch than a finished piece, but I really liked it so thought I'd share. :)
