Artist's Statement
The comic illustrates the case of the Vulcabras shoes company (the name mixes the words "volcano" and "Brazil"), which owns the famous female shoes brand Azaleia (you might know this flower as "azalea").
Vulcabras fired about 9,000 people in 2011, supposedly because of the invasion of imported shoes to Brazil. This art was created in indian ink and watercolour for an economic contest held by the Brazilian newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, in last January.
