Artist's Statement
I'm putting this in featured because I need some serious critique.
I've been reading the book Drawn to Life by Walt Stanchfield, and it's been making me think a lot about what I could be doing with life drawings. To sum it up, I've been focusing on anatomy and technical stuff (which I still need), but I need to look at the character of it all. For example, what emotion could I portray? It's a pretty interesting idea, and one I'd like to study up on. These are sketches I did before I read it, and to be honest I haven't finished the book yet. Alas, these are very recent and I want to take what I'm learning now and apply it to them. Also, critique my shading too. That definitely needs work too. |
