Frauenkirche Dresden 2

Finally there is some snow in Dresden, Germany. The first snow here this year. 2012 started cold and it's going to be even colder... but there was no snow until today morning. So I went out to take a few pictures of Dresdens most beautiful buildings.
Most people who talk or think of Dresden think of the Frauenkirche. It's one of the most visited (protestant) churches of Germany and one of a few churches which have been re-erected after the second world war. The DDR-governance didn't liked religion so they only re-erected the churches as pleaces of interest for tourists. Most of the people in Saxony don't believe in god till this day just because of the DDR-rules.
The Frauenkirche is today one of the most visited tourist features in Dresden, Germany.


About the picture:
I tried to catch the atmosphere at this place today. There weren't so many people in the city because it's so cold outside but some tourists have been there and visited the church. Usually there are many people waiting in front of the church to be allowed to get inside, but today there were no guys waiting, what made it easier to take a picture of the Frauenkirche today. It's a little bit darker than the first picture I did, because I changed the settings of the camera a little bit, but I still love how the blues colour of the sky comes out and how the church itself looks like.
