We had seen a spectacular sunset as we flew to LA the night before. It seemed to continue for hours and I was hoping we might see another like it while we were on the ground... the following night my hopes were fulfilled.
Although there weren't many clouds, the colors in the sky kept intensifying after the sun actually set. Suddenly a flock of sandpipers landed and ran along the waters edge catching an evening meal between the waves.
