Artist's Statement
"Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" - my new series of artworks. The 3rd horseman is now before you! You can ask "where is the horse, guy?", and my answer is "That's so boring to follow classical presentation of this concept ... blah, blah..." (in spite of this at the picture there is a pair of balances, oops) The matter is simple - I can not draw horses :(
Let me explain the idea of this work: in front of the Famine you can see a field eating by creature's skirt and behind there is only waste ground with graves on it. I decided to depict the Famine's cloak as the big empty bag - the place to put all stolen food. The creature carries a pair of balances, indicating the way that bread would have been weighed during a famine. Well, hope you like it! 1st horseman: Pestilence - [link] 2nd horseman: War - [link] 4th horseman: Death - [link] Four Horsemen together - [link] The music theme: Gregorian - Babylon [link] |
