The Phra Buddha Sing is the most important Buddha of Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is said to be made in India and travelled to Thailand through Sri Lanka. Every year with the Buddhist New Year (Songkran), the statue is carried through the city in a religious procession as the spectators honour it by sprinkling water over it.
