Something a little different this time. :) Trying to expand my horizons, branch out from just horses or pretty girls, the standard type of things.

<B>Mixed media.</b> I used this picture a lot for simply studying a face, noting the shadows and highlights, the muscles and expression, hand, fingers, nails, textures, etc. The original pic (linked below) was pretty grainy, so I smoothed it all out which inevitably took all skin texture with it. I put that back in, added some freckles, enhanced the eyes and hair, yadda yadda, pretty self explanatory.
